The seasonal market transitions have begun. We saw customers from Carmel at our Market this past Saturday since their local market season ended September 29th.

Zionsville also closed at the end of September. Other local markets will be done at the end of this month — Irvington is done 10/14, Fishers, Binford, and Garfield Park end 10/27, and the Original Farmers Market at the City Market will hold their last day of the season on 10/31.

It used to be that there were no markets available over the winter, but that is no longer the case as more and more winter farmers markets have been popping up in recent years.

Carmel’s Winter Market opens 10/20, Fishers Winter Market starts 11/3, and the Indy Winter Market will open 11/10.

Of course the BRFM will continue outdoors through November 17th, the Saturday before Thanksgiving.  Our Broad Ripple Winter Market will then start on December 1st inside Liter House (formerly Bent Rail Brewery) 5301 Winthrop Ave.

The offerings will be different, but you’ll still be able to find the freshest local food of the season — all year round.
