This weekend is Memorial Day Weekend (and in Indy, race weekend too) and the official start of backyard cookout season. You’ll find everything you need at the Market to make it a delicious, healthy, and memorable event.

For many of us, backyard cookouts mean meat on the grill. Our meat vendors at the BRFM have grass-fed, pasture-raised, antibiotic-free beef, pork, lamb, and chicken. They also have sausages, bratwurst, and just about everything you could want to cook over fire.

Visit Phelps Family Farm, Royer Farm Fresh Meats, Schacht Farm, and Simpson Family Farm for healthy fresh meat cuts and brats & sausages; and Old Major Market for bacon and sausages. Don’t forget eggs from these vendors for your favorite deviled egg recipe!

Batch No. 2 has all the tasty condiments you need and Circle City Smoke has amazing salts for your grill-worthy foods. See Brotgarten, Amelia’s, Circle City Sweets/Soups, and Native Bread for buns and breads.

Tomatoes, greens, onions, mushrooms, cheese, and more topping ingredients can be found at multiple vendors, while tasty side dishes and snacks can be had from Caprini Creamery, Farm to Product, Guacamole and More, Home Ec, Me and Dippy McGee, Primal Delights, and Tulip Tree Creamery.

For dessert, stock up on Lick Ice Cream, Nicey Treat popsicles, Pots & Pans pies, and sweet treats from Taste Café & Marketplace, Rene’s Bakery, Amelias, and Circle City Sweets.
