Did you know that certain plants are natural mosquito repellents? You can find many of these plants at the Market right now and keep your yard, deck, or porch bug-free this summer!

Bloomer’s Greenhouse has a whole array of mosquito repellent plants available like lemon grass, pennyroyal, and lemon balm. (They also have milkweed to attract butterflies).

Lavender, rosemary, and basil are also said to keep mosquitos away. Several vendors have these herbs, and you can cook with them too!

Fields Farm Fresh has marigolds (and herbs) which keep bugs at bay along with other pests, plus they look pretty. Add them to a border or a pot with some of the other herbs and plants listed here.

It’s a great way to make sure you get the best out of your outdoor space  — the natural way!
