We are now just over three weeks out from the BRFM 2017 Opening Day. There are so many exciting things going on behind the scenes to get ready for a great outdoor market season! We’re still working on our lineup of vendors for this year and plans for new campaigns, signage, and improved recycling and composting efforts.

Our awesome farmers are out in the fields and the greenhouses planting and preparing for a fabulous growing season. I talked to a grower today who has spinach and garlic that will be ready for the first market and romaine lettuce almost ready. Another is building a new barn and greenhouse to expand his growing capacity.

We know you can’t wait (neither can we), but until May 6th gets here, you can still shop at the Broad Ripple Winter Market through April 29th! I was there last Saturday and thrilled to see farm fresh eggs, lots of greens, green onions, winter squash, mushrooms, cheeses, breads, pastries, honey, flowers, meats, and more inside the Bent Rail Brewery.
