buzz-photos-for-9-17There were nineteen different varieties of apples at the Market last Saturday! Add to that several different types of pears, grapes, pumpkins and gourds, and tons of beautiful mums, and it was a great September market day in spite of some rain!

  • Wild’s Apple Farm had Redfree, William’s Pride, Zestar, Mollie’s Delicious, Ginger Gold, Gala, Blondee, Summer Rambo, Paulared, Golden Supreme, Akane, Priscilla, Sweet 16, Cortland, Sir Prize, and a few more types of apples and some of the prettiest cucumbers I’ve seen!
  • Lee’s Orchard had Honey Crisp, Fuji, McIntosh, and Golden Delicious apples and yummy dessert pears!
  • The amazing aroma of duck bacon sizzling on the griddle wafted over the Market from the Maple Leaf Farms booth!
  • Silverthorn Farm had tons of big beautiful mums along with herb bundles, cabbage, kale, beets, sweet potatoes, turnips, and breakfast radishes!
  • Pumpkins, beautiful gourds, winter squashes, and the last of the watermelons were at Azalia Farm Market!
  • Fields Farm Fresh also had watermelon along with mini-pumpkins, beautiful peppers, several varieties of eggplant, and canteloupes!
  • Grapes, yellow beans, carnival squash and butternut at Compean & Sons!
  • Full Hand Farm had delicata, acorn, and spaghetti squashes!
  • Berries, grapes, turnips, carrots, and cabbage at Annabelle’s Garden!
  • Funny Bone Farm had sweet potatoes, radishes and butternut squash!
  • Sweet potatoes, broccoli, candy onions, berries, and soup at Earthly Delights!
  • Norman Mullet Farm had pumpkins, salad turnips, acorn squash, eggplant, and bell peppers!
  • Long beans, Chinese broccoli, and concord grapes at Nujac Garden!
  • Bloomer’s Greenhouse had Blossom, Ozette, and Peruvian Blue fingerling potatoes!
