buzz-photos-8-27Pears are now in season at the Market! We also saw concord grapes, the first pumpkin of the season, and probably close to the last berries and peaches.  Plus one adorable little black and white kitten looking for a forever home!

  • Pears were available at Lee’s Orchard, Wild’s Apple Farm, Annabelle’s Garden, Nujac Garden, and Earthly Delights!
  • Annabelle’s had the first pumpkins of the season along with concord grapes, sweet potatoes, multicolored cauliflowers, and blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries!
  • Concord grapes and sweet potatoes were also at Earthly Delights as well as blueberries & raspberries, and candy onions!
  • Apple Works also had raspberries, and seven varieties of apples!
  • Peaches were still at Compean & Sons, Wild’s Apple Farm, and Lee’s!
  • Lee’s also had Gingergold, Redfree, Akane, & Mollie’s Delicious apples!
  • Wild’s had several varieties of apples, plus potatoes, and plums!
  • Winter squash including butternut, acorn, & spaghetti were available at Azalia Farm Market, Silverthorn, Fields Farm Fresh, and Full Hand!
  • Full Hand Farm also had arugula, green onions, rainbow carrots, ground cherries, and lovely delicata squash!
  • Nujac Garden had some interesting bitter & sweet melons!
  • Norman Mullet Farm had lettuce heads, garlic bulbs, and rhubarb!
  • Lots of watermelons and cantaloupes at Compean & Sons, Azalia Farm Market, Earthly Delights, Fields Farm Fresh, and Silverthorn Farm!
  • The Broad Ripple Magnet High School Marching Band members played for the shoppers and sold bottled beverages to raise money for the band!
  • The Broad Ripple Village Association was on hand with information about the upcoming Historic Home Tour and home tour t-shirts for sale!
  • ARPO (Alliance for Responsible Pet Ownership) had two groups of kittens at the Market including one adorable little black and white kitty who has not yet been adopted and needs a new home!
