buzz-photos-6-11Our first hot humid summer day for the Market made us appreciate the ice cold beverages available from many of the BRFM vendors!

  • Lemon shakeups were popular at Amazing Potato Chips. Hubbard & Craven had long lines for iced coffee and ADHTeas had iced tea.
  • Natural Born Juicers brought their truck with juices and smoothies.
  • Bottled water was sold to raise funds for the BRHS volleyball team and bottles of cider filled the cooler at Apple Works!
  • Cherries made their first appearance of the season at Nujac Garden!
  • Garlic scapes were available from Norman Mullet, Funny Bone, Annabelle’s, and Silverthorn!
  • Sugar snap peas and snow peas made an appearance at Earthly Delights, Nujac Garden, and Annabelle’s Garden!
  • Shamrock Hill Farm had certified organic popcorn along with their blue oyster and shiitake mushrooms!
  • Asparagus is still hanging in there at many vendors, but it doesn’t love this hot humid weather, so it won’t last much longer.
  • Strawberries were plentiful (but not for long) at Silverthorn Farm, Annabelle’s Garden, Azalia Farm Market, Apple Works, and Earthly Delights!
  • There was purple kohlrabi at Silverthorn Farm and Full Hand Farm!
  • Chard and kale starting to show up everywhere, including Funny Bone, Annabelle’s, Full Hand, Silverthorn, and Fields Farm Fresh!
  • Fresh lavender stems were lovely and fragrant at Harvest Moon Flower Farm!
  • Sunflowers at Bloomer’s Greenhouse and Compean & Sons; and coming soon at JP Parker Flowers!
  • Lots of cucumbers were available all over the Market and Silverthorn had dill if you’re up for pickling!
