Slow Food Indy is the Indianapolis chapter of the International Slow Food Movement. Slow Food is an idea, a way of living and a way of eating with the goal of a food system that is Good, Clean, and Fair. It is part of a global, grassroots movement with thousands of members in over 150 countries, which links the pleasure of food with a commitment to the local community and to the global environment. Slow Food Indy events are open to members and nonmembers alike and membership is not a prerequisite for participation.
Visit their website for more information, or come to the Market this Saturday and talk with their members about the events and programs they sponsor and the markets and restaurants they endorse.
