In conjunction with Ivy Tech Hospitality and Indy Food Swappers, Slow Food Indy is hosting an introductory level canning/preserving workshop. Suzanne Krowiak is the founder of Indy Food Swappers and a Master Food Preserver as certified by the Purdue Extension program.
Suzanne will present a brief overview of food preservation techniques, and the rest of the class will be hands-on experience in skills such as water bath canning, pickling, and jams! Participants will work in small groups of 4-6 with an experienced facilitator as a guide.
